It's the show that nature puts on for us at this turn of season that makes me especially grateful to have been born in this month.

It's like every time around this year, nature puts on her final flourishes and gets ready to shed the skin she's held on to for so long. This picture inspires a lot of appreciation for that scene.

October's the month when life and death overlap, it's both the first and final change, a swirling of principle essence.

This picture makes me feel like that's okay.
